Research Profile

According to the research interests of the employees of the institute, the following main topics can be roughly outlined:
We deal with the sculpture of the Middle Ages, the art of the Renaissance, the French art of the early modern period, the Dutch art of the 17th century and the art of the present. There is a special interest in the history of art history and its methods.
Nevertheless, all colleagues in teaching are obliged to offer in cooperation an overview of the entire European and in the present also non-European art history.
