We are delighted that the "Frauen at Reiff" project has been honoured with the Brigitte Gilles Special Prize this year. At the RWTHtransparent event, Frederike Eyhoff, Dr Birgit Schillak-Hammers and Hannah Rosenstein from the Chair of Art History were presented with the certificate by the Vice-Rector for Human Resources and Young Academics, Professor Sabine Brück-Dürkop.
RWTH Aachen University annually awards the Brigitte Gilles Prize, which bears the name of the university's first Women's Representative, Prof Brigitte Gilles. The aim is to honour projects and measures of an innovative nature that make a significant contribution to the advancement of women. Measures that improve the conditions for studying, teaching and research as well as the organisation of women's work are honoured. Projects that contribute to increasing the number of female students and academics in subjects with a low proportion of women are also eligible for funding.
